Fragments

With the support of the BOOK MACHINE project at the LA Art Book Fair, I was able to produce a 100-page book from a series of images that I data bent. The process involved converting JPEG to RAW to WAV, editing the waveform, then deconstructing the data in TXT, re-compressing back to JPEG, and finally, translating this into print.

The book was selected in the official jury panel held at the Tateuchi Democracy Forum. Collaborated with Karen Hong on layout design.

Anfinsen's Landmark

Album cover and sleeve I designed for Patrick Shiroishi's quintet recording titled "Anfinsen's Landmark". Released through Creative Sources, a recording label based in Portugal.

The artwork is from a video project I worked on for Patrick titled "Black Sun Sutra"; it was exhibited for a live performance at Human Resources, a gallery in Los Angeles. The video footage was shot in Malibu, CA with a handheld camcorder.
